MEDLIFE Challenges

This challenge is a trek that combines adventure with purpose, raising funds to support MEDLIFE’s mission. Your goal is to fundraise for MEDLIFE’s Moving Mountains Program, which creates sustainable, large-scale solutions for communities facing poverty.

Each challenge also includes a half-day Reality Tour, providing an in-depth look at the communities you’re supporting and the impact of your contributions. From building staircases to elementary schools, 100% of donations directly support long-term projects in Latin America & Africa, empowering communities with access to healthcare, education, and safe homes.

The Salkantay Challenge

Embark on the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, starting in Cusco. Journey through stunning ecosystems, conquer the 15,255 ft Salkantay Pass, and explore the iconic UNESCO Heritage site.

  • Challenge 1: Starts on May 24th, 2025
  • Challenge 2: Starts June 7th, 2025

Your Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival to Cusco, city tour, overnight Cusco hotel.

Day 2

MEDLIFE Reality Tour (trek briefing and last-minute shopping) - Overnight Cusco hotel.

Day 3-7

5D/4N Salkantay Trek, Machu Picchu and return to Cusco.

Day 8

Free Day for optional activities at extra cost (Humantay Lake/Rainbow Mountain)

Day 9

Transfer to the airport.
